Anna's Experience

Anna Short has built a career rooted in compassion, service, and practical expertise, making her uniquely equipped to support elders through life’s transitions. With a BA in Sociology, including a concentration in the Sociology of Aging, Anna’s career reflects a deep understanding of people and the challenges they face.
For 12 years, Anna ran her own residential real estate business, helping clients buy and sell homes, manage renovations, and coordinate remodeling projects. This experience honed her ability to handle complex logistics with precision and care. Transitioning to nonprofit work, Anna served as the Executive Director of a maternal and infant health organization, where she led programs to support new mothers and their families. She also worked as a peer counselor for the same organization, providing direct emotional support to mothers. In addition, Anna worked with an ALS nonprofit, accompanying patients to clinic appointments and support groups, offering both practical and emotional assistance.
Anna’s background in project coordination, event planning, and culinary arts further showcases her versatile skill set and passion for enhancing the lives of others.
As a loving and reliable only child to two elder parents and a devoted daughter-in-law, and mother of two teenagers, Anna has been a natural nurturer and skilled caregiver throughout her life. She understands the importance of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her unwavering dedication ensures that every individual she supports feels important and looked after.
Whether helping with moving, end-of-life planning, or providing companionship, Anna’s personalized, detail-oriented approach ensures that every client receives the highest level of care.
